Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Bison Charter collects, why, and who sees it. It's written to meet Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

• Trip details you submit: pickup and destination, dates, passenger count, occasion and preferences.
• Contact details: name, email, phone number and organization (if provided).
• Technical data needed to prevent spam and abuse: IP address and basic request metadata.

Who sees it

Your trip and contact details are shared only with the operators matched to your specific request — up to three at a time. We never sell your information, and operators may not use it for anything other than quoting and running your trip.

How long we keep it

We keep request records for as long as needed to resolve disputes, support bookings and improve our price estimates, and no longer than is reasonably necessary for those purposes. You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing us.

Marketing emails

We only send marketing emails if you tick the opt-in box when submitting a request (per Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation, CASL). Transactional emails — confirming your request or a quote — are sent regardless, since they're necessary to provide the service.

Payments

When online deposits are available, all card data is handled directly by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run the site, and they process data only on our behalf: our hosting provider (application and database), our email provider (to send confirmation and quote emails), Cloudflare Turnstile (to block spam on forms) and Google Maps (to turn addresses into routes and distances). Some of these providers may store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed for the site to work: a session cookie that remembers your progress through the quote form, and a security cookie that protects forms against forgery. If analytics are enabled, we use a privacy-friendly tool that doesn't set cookies or track you across sites.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time. Use the contact details below and we'll respond within 30 days.
