Our guides and price tables exist to help people plan group travel in Manitoba. This page explains who writes them, where the facts come from and how we keep them current.
Who writes our content
Guides are written and reviewed by the Bison Charter team in Winnipeg, drawing on day-to-day work with local charter operators and customers. Each guide shows the date its facts were last checked.
Where the facts come from
- Regulations (operator certification, insurance, driver hours, border documents) are checked against official sources such as the Government of Manitoba, the Government of Canada and US federal agencies, and cited at the end of each guide.
- Distances and drive times are approximate road figures from central Winnipeg in normal conditions, cross-checked against mapping sources.
- Event information describes typical timing. Dates change each year, so we link to organizers.
How our prices are produced
Every price on this site comes from the same estimate engine customers see when they request a quote. It combines driver hours, distance, each vehicle type's hourly rate and minimum, and season and weekend multipliers. Rates are set from public market pricing, never from any one operator's private price list, and are reviewed as real quotes come in. Estimates are for planning; operators set binding prices. See charter bus prices in Manitoba for the full methodology.
Independence
Bison Charter is a marketplace, not a carrier. Operators pay to receive leads, but they can't pay to change our guides or our price data. Guides don't recommend specific operators.
