For customers

Is it free to request quotes?
Yes. Requesting and comparing quotes costs customers nothing and there's no account to create. Operators pay us for the leads they receive, and we never mark up the prices they quote you.
How accurate is the instant estimate?
It's a realistic range built from distance, driver hours, the vehicle type and the season, but it isn't a quote. The binding price always comes from the operator, and it can land outside the range for unusual itineraries, last-minute trips or special requests.
How quickly will operators reply?
Most requests get their first real quote within 24 hours of you confirming your email. If an operator passes or doesn't answer in time, your request moves to the next one that fits, so you still get up to three quotes to compare.
Who actually runs my trip?
The operator you book with. Bison Charter is a marketplace, not a carrier: we don't own buses or employ drivers. The operator is responsible for the vehicle, driver, permits, insurance and the trip itself.
How are operators vetted?
Before approval we confirm the business and a contact person by phone, check passenger-carrier operating authority, record the commercial liability insurance and its expiry date, and check the fleet matches what's listed. We repeat the check every year.
Who sees my contact details?
Only the operators matched to your specific request, up to three at a time. We never sell your information. See the privacy policy for details.
Can you handle trips to the United States?
Yes. Requests to Fargo, Grand Forks, Minneapolis and elsewhere are flagged as cross-border and only go to operators with the authority to cross. Every passenger needs a valid passport or other WHTI-compliant document.
How do I pay?
For now you pay the operator directly, using whatever deposit and payment terms they set out in their quote. Online deposits through Bison Charter are on the roadmap.

For operators

What does it cost to join?
Nothing during our launch period. Once leads are turning into bookings for you, we'll move to a flat per-lead fee that you agree to in advance. No long-term contract and no commission on your price.
What makes a lead a good fit for me?
We only send requests inside your service radius, for a date you haven't blacked out, with enough seats in your fleet, and cross-border only if you've told us you run them.
What if a lead is fake or out of my area?
You get the credit back automatically for invalid contact details, duplicates and requests outside your service area.
What do you need from us to get approved?
Your business registration, operating authority for the trips you take (plus extra-provincial authority for cross-border work), a certificate of commercial liability insurance and an accurate fleet list. We'll confirm everything by phone.
